If you're a blogger, feel free to join in at any time with your own scattered life post.
Cynthia at spirituncaged.com is the ring leader - to play along, just visit her site on Fridays and add your link to the list. I've been using Cynthia's format, but you're welcome to organize your post any old way you'd like. There really are no rules - just share whatever has been percolating in your world during the past week.
Out the window: No comment. (I just read that Winnipeg is having its second coldest winter in 75 years. I'm not impressed.)
On the menu: I'm trying out a new-to-me slow cooker recipe for black bean soup with mojo. It comes from the Food Network Kitchens Making it Easy cookbook. I've had good luck with this book in the past, so I'm hoping for some yum.
The key here is that nobody says it quite like Natalie Goldberg. She is a writer, artist, Zen practitioner and teacher, and one senses that after publishing twelve books and teaching writing seminars for 40 years, she has pretty much seen, heard, and in some cases, lived, it all. She believes writing is for everyone, and I love her for that.
Favourite passage so far: "In writing, in sitting, in slow walking, a flash, a moment appears when we fall through and what we are fighting, running from, struggling with becomes open, luminous - or, even better, not a problem, just what it is."
And of course, there's Maggie Smith. Enough said.
