- My First Job: I was a cook at a chain restaurant called Mother's. Most of the food was pre-made, so there wasn't a lot of actual cooking involved, but I did learn a thing or two about chopping vegetables, and ever since I've been a star at time management.
- The First Thing to My Left - a mesh bag of foil-wrapped chocolate Christmas treats
- Something I Remember About First Grade - My teacher wore dark glasses whenever she had a headache, and we all knew that was a sign to be on our best behaviour.
- The First Book I Ever Read - I honestly don't remember. I recall a myriad of books being read to me by my parents at bedtime, including favourites Benjamin Budge and Barnaby Ball, and Wynken, Blynken and Nod when I was little, and when I was older, the Little House on the Prairie series and Charlotte's Web.
- The First Thing I Do In the Morning - swallow a pill for my thyroid
- The First Food I Knew I Didn't Like - brussels sprouts
- My First Memory - I'm not clear on this one, either, but I think that it involved playing with a dog at my aunt's cottage in Saskatchewan when I was four.
