From the Twitter feed of columnist Nick Bilton: "An article published in 1902 in "The Western Times" shows Facebook used to be waaaay more fun than it is today." Agreed.

This is Jasper and his rescue dog, Zoey. Jasper's mom is a professional lifestyle photographer who decided to have some fun by taking photos of him and his dog dressed in matching outfits. You can see the rest of the photos here, and you should definitely go take a look, because one is more adorable than the next. If you do not feel at least the flicker of a smile coming on when you see the series, you have a heart of stone. Just sayin'.
A big thank you to my friend Deborah Weber for pointing me in the direction of The Made-Up Words Project. From the website: "The Made-Up Words Project is an ongoing undertaking by illustrator Rinee Shah. The goal is to collect and catalog the made-up words that we share with family and friends." Simple concept. Hilarious results. And I love Shah's illustrations. Here is my favourite so far: "When you're driving and you go fast over a bump in the road, such that it makes your stomach jump a little. As in 'Whoa! Did you feel that? That was a big woolly-doop-doop.'"
Find your favourite at madeupwordsproject.com You can set pretty much anything to the music of Benny Hill and it'll be funny, but it makes these dudes seem especially hilarious. I'd love to know what they were actually dancing to. If you are viewing this post via email, click here to see the video.
In honour of the Olympics, have a giggle at The Faces of Figure Skating. This one is my favourite:
Gemma Correll's Tumblr O' Things is a treasure trove of funny.
Rain. Oh, rain. In the dead of winter how I long for thee.
I simply adore this video of a little munchkin playing in the rain. The sheer joy she expresses says it all. |
